Our Vision
Building A Future Foundation (BAF) envisions a future where coastal communities thrive through sustainable livelihoods, empowerment, and self-sufficiency. We aim to create long-term positive change by combining social development with environmental stewardship and economic opportunity, fostering resilient communities that can flourish while protecting the ocean they depend on.
Our Purpose
BAF’s purpose is to revive sustainable ocean-based practices and cultivate a sailing culture in Sri Lanka. We develop innovative double-powered fishing boats that can be replicated in other coastal regions affected by overfishing, promoting responsible fishing practices. Beyond fishing, we are building a local yachting industry—covering boat building, sail and mast production, mini-marinas, and charter services—through social entrepreneurship and international collaboration, empowering communities while driving economic and social growth.
